The world's largest Crew/Supply Vessel, M/V Granville C. McCall was delivered to Seacor Marine, Inc. of Houston, Texas by Gulf Craft, LLC on May 28, 2002. The Granville C. McCall measures 190' x 35' and features the following capacities: 46,000 gallons of fuel, 82,000 gallons of drill/potable water, dry bulk capacity of 3,000 cu. ft., 2,500 gallons of ship's water, 600 gallons of main engine lube oil, 125 gallons of gear lube oil, 90 gallons of hydraulic oil, 6,000 gallons of gray water holding and waste oil capacity of 180 gallons. Aft deck space measures 112' x 28' providing 3,136 sq. ft. of loading area and deck cargo capacity of 400 long tons.
The vessel is powered by five Cummins KTA-50-M2 diesel engines rated at 1,800 BHP @ 1900 RPM and each coupled with a Twin Disc, model MG-6848, 2.93:1 reduction ratio gear. Each engine turns a four blade Teinbridge 54" x 54" Nibral propeller providing a light ship speed of 25 knots and fully loaded speed of 20 knots. Maneuverability is enhanced with the Thrustmaster 400 HP azimuthing thruster, which is powered by a Cummins N-14-M diesel engine. Twin 99KW Cummins 6BT5.9-G2 generators supply electrical power for the vessel's services and a Cummins 6CT8.3 diesel engine powers the Leroi WE 150 IIM - 80 PSI bulk compressor.
The M/V Granville C. McCall is capable of discharging drill water at 700 GPM @ 160 ft., discharging fuel oil at 350 GPM @ 130 ft. and dry bulk at 780 Cu. Ft./Hr. @ 80 PSI. In addition to servicing offshore facilities, the M/V Granville C. McCall has fire fighting capabilities to pump 900 GPM via the stern fire monitor and 2,650 GPM via the main fire monitor.
Passenger accommodations include 97 reclining business class bucket seats in the air conditioned main deck cabin. Special accommodations for the passengers include a refreshment area with a snack, beverage, and ice cream vending machine, microwave oven, coffee maker and kitchen sink. The passenger compartment is equipped with two 32" televisions and VCR, an AM/FM stereo receiver with CD player and Dolby Surround Sound system providing VCR surround sound playback. Located aft of the passenger seating area on the port side is the head with lavatory, shower stall and toilet.
Air conditioned crew accommodations below the main deck cabin include five staterooms, a bathroom, galley, mess area and laundry room. Two of the five staterooms have one berth with clothes locker and a TV with VCR. The remaining staterooms have two berths and one clothes locker per stateroom. The head is located in the forward section of the crews' quarters and is arranged with a lavatory, toilet and shower. The galley is equipped with an electric range/oven, sink, two refrigerator/freezers, food pantry and mess area with a split table booth seating arrangement and TV/VCR for the crews entertainment. The clothes washer and dryer and an additional chest freezer are located in the tunnel just aft of the crews' quarter.
Navigational and electronic equipment aboard the M/V Granville C. McCall include two Garmin GPS, dual Furuno radars, two ICOM VHF radios, two VHF remotes by ICOM, an ICOM Single Side Band radio, autopilot by ComNav, DPS-1 system by Kongsberg Simrad, loudhailer by Raytheon, fluxgate compass by KVH, Navtex Receiver by Furuno, fathometer by Datamarine, camera monitoring system by Pro Video, stereo/cassette player by Seaworthy, two forward search lights by Carlisle Finch and navigation lights by Perko.
